Dr Sophie Morris

Curator, writer & researcher

I am a curator and object historian with a specialism in decorative art and jewellery, curious about processes of making and the symbolic and sensory resonance of materials. A vital part of my curatorial practice is listening to people’s stories and acting as a liaison between creative people and historic objects. I have made films, exhibitions and written about things like gemstones, enamels, gold, silver and mosaics.
